Hello Roy,
I am a failed refugee claimant. I have applied PRRA on July 2011 and H&C Application on August 2011, it is still ´in process´ stage in CIC online portal. I was reporting monthly basis to CBSA by phone but last week CBSA said I don´t need to be reported anymore, they further said my "first stage of immigration is over" now.
Now my question is - Am I granted or refused on the base of above CBSA´s statement? Even I haven´t recieved any letter from CIC or CBSA yet. When I called CIC, they said my file has transfered to CIC Toronto office from Vancouver on May second week.

One had to inform the CBSA bond reporting officer that he was a permanent resident of Canada.
It took weeks for the bond person to collect the immigration bond.

CBSA does not just say anything.
CIC approves PRRA applications.
CIC approves H&C applications.
If they are joined you are called into an office and given written confirmation by CBSA that you are approved for either application. If your approved for H&C your PRRA application is put on hold and you´re informed of same by writing at a CBSA Office.

Hello Roy, thank you very much, I just got a letter from CBSA today saying "following a review of your file, we have determined that a representative of the Minister of Cit. and Imm. has approved your request for an exception to allow ur application for per. res. to be processed from within Canada". As a result, we are mending ur Terms and Cond. by cancelling Condition 7.
So is this PRRA or H&C decision? Would you kindly let me know how long I have to wait for final decision?

Hey hdhakal, i got the same letter recently. I also got another one soon after. The second letter is instructing me to attend an interview with CBSA at 6900 Airport road to receive a decision on my PPRA. Can you please tell me if it was the same with you?

I had both a H&c and PRRA application. I was informed that my h&c application has received first stage approval.
