Im from the UK and i moved to canada on a PR card. Me and my wife got married 2 year after i moved here and now we have a 1 year old son that means the world to me. After 2 years of being married she has decided that she doesnt want to be anymore. I really dont want to get divorced because i married for better and for worst, but she has made her mind up. My question is could i lose my PR card and chance of citizenship. The last thing i want is not to see my son and watch him grow up. Also is my devorce the same as 2 canadian citizenship who would be getting divorced???

(in reply to: UK with a PR card and my wife wants to divorce) No - you won´t lose your PR card or change of citizenship because of the divorce. Your divorce will have no impact on these things.

(in reply to: UK with a PR card and my wife wants to divorce) My now x-wife had an affair 2 years after I moved here. She left me for another guy and he dumped her a month later. I didn´t want her back so she started making trouble for me and was telling everyone I used her only to come to Canada.
It didnt affect my status. She was the cheating bitch. not me
