Subject: INTERVIEW IN SPOUSE CASE
i am wondering as to wat do the visa officers ask in an interview. I have a spouse sponsorship in process and i have an interview at CHC, New Delhi on the 3rd of March, 2005.
Now, the thing is that i have been with my wife for the past 2 years, before we finally got married in 2004. She was in Canada and i was in England! she was my girlfriend until we married in Oct, 2004.
I never thought i will have an interview at the firt place, BUT i have it!! so, can anyone tell me as to wat do the visa officers ask in the interview, even though i have sufficient proofs of our 2 year-old relation, namely e-mails, phone-bills etc. I even submitted all the proofs along with the appliocation, but stiil I HAVE AN INTERVIEW!! can anyone tell me as to wat would they wanna know more??

They just want to verify that your relationship is legitimate. Take every document that you can possibly think of to prove that you have had a relationship with your wife for the last 2 years.

The immigration official will let you know at the end of the interview if your application has been approved or not.

Aman, my husband is also waiting to come from India and I am a Canadian. I met him in the UK but then got married to him last June in India. My parents and other relatives came to the wedding and it was a big 4-5 day function. I´m wondering, did you send a lot of pictures? Did you have a honeymoon? Where did you guys get married (i.e. In India)? And was there lots of family there?

The reason I´m asking these questions is that so far my husband has not been called for an interview but we are still waiting for him to get his visa. They have been processing our file since September.

Thanks - will look for your reply.

i can understand your impatience! Yes, we did have a honeymoon and we got married in punjab. i had a lot of e-mails and phone bills to go with my application. I had all the marriage and reception pictures and our honeymoon pictures as well! we both were togther for the past 2 years when i was in the UK and she in Canada; though not physically, but on the phone most of the times.
we had a decent marriage with both the famillies there.
i can understand ur state of mind. i know how hard it is to wait for this long; but i have been fortunate that i have got my interview on the 3rd of march, just 2 months after my wife sent the application to Miss. I hope that it turns out good.
But, u dont worry as ur husband would be there with u soon. just a question?? has ur husband´s passport been called yet, and seocndly, did u submit the medicals along with ur application??
reply and i will share my experiences
