Hi I am a Canadian married to an American! He is on a vistors permit currently going through immigrations in Canada! Are we able to move to the United States or is he obligated to stay here? Our plan is to move to the United States in one year!! I WANTED MY HUSBAND TO HAVE CANADIAN CITZENSHIP SO IF WE DECIDE TO COME BACK FROM THE UNITED STATES WE CAN!

(in reply to: Hi I am a Canadian married to an American! H...) there are residency requirements that go along with that immigration application. Citizenship requires residing in Canada 3 years out of 5 and he must do so before he can apply for citizenship.
You have some choices to make.

You just dont move to the US, you should contact the US embassy and learn about the process.
