Bad news, at least from the Paris Embassy. Federal skilled workers processing times are now between 27-40 months. So be patient or begin considering immigration to another Country. That´s what I´m doing.

Hi Sharon,

CIC webpage contains updated information on processing times. Perhaps that´s where he got the info.

something is wierd about paris stats. when you check all application information it says under 12 months for 80%. Skilled worker data has changed in the last 30 days from 5-12 months for Sept-Dec 2004 to 27-40 months???? Something is wierd.

Does anyone know how these numbers are determined?
IF these are true, there really isn´t much to look forwards too.

all I know is we applied under skilled worker class Jun 04. We even had a problem with some documents that cost us several additional weeks of waiting. Right now we have completed the medicals and we are waiting on the background check and PP request. We are at 9 months. Don´t know what else to tell you.

Sharon, is your destination Quebec? If so, I understand your timeline. If not, I can´t believe it!. I applied in Nov 2003 and no news yet. (just got AOR 3 months later).

No, my guy is coming to Vancouver. Up until the website got updated, Paris showed skilled workers being processed in 5-12 months (for 80% of applicants) Not sure which info is screwed up...just going on personal experience right now. Glad the website is wrong in our case.

Hi Sharon,
It takes from 5-12 months for the 80% so he is from the rest of the percent 20% coz he is from a country of unwelcome to come easily. I wanted to tell u that 8 monhts ago. U had chozen the difficult way to get your guy to your country. Do u remember when I told u about the guy in the embassy where I applied with his Canadian wife. the whole process took only 10 months.

God helps.

for some reason the link to waiting times is down on the CIC website. Perhaps they are doing an update.
