Subject: Permanent residence status
My family and I landed in Canada on the 15th of July 2009.
By this time my elder daughter had sought admission in a 3 year degree program from our place of residence. We received our PR card only in February 2012 since there were some issues with the photographs and we could not go to Canada in time. In between we visited Canada 2 times and we have stayed in Canada for a total 34 days. To meet the stipulated residency criteria, we will be required to land in Canada before 15th of August 2012. My daughter completed her graduation examination but unfortunately her practical exam date has been postponed to 1st week of September 2012. Without taking this exam she would not be getting her grasuation certificate, If we go after her practical exam we may fall short of 30 to 45 days from the stipulated 730 days which is required. Will be stopped at the entry point and not be allowed to enter Canada? Will be lose our PR status after we land up in Canada? Is there any way out? The only reason for extending our permanent migration was my daughters education. Appreciate if anyone could give an appropriate advice. Thanks.

could you not leave her behind until shes done with her exams?? its only a matter of a month or so,. don´t take risks. Its better to leave her behind with relatives and once shes done with her pracitcal, she can travel by herself as i did too!

Thanks Helper.
This option of leaving her with relatives is unfortunately not possible.
