Hello
I have recently been granted permanent resident status, and have been residing in Canada for a matter of weeks. Prior to my approval, I was accepted to study in a university in the UK, where my degree fees are covered. I have done some research and found University fees in Canada to be very steep.
Can I return to the UK and finish my degree (3 years) and then make the permanent move to Canada thereafter? Will this affect my residency?
I kindly apreeciate your advice

In order to retain your Canadian PR status, you must live in Canada two out of every file rolling years. As long as you can meet this requirement, your residency will be safe.

The time line is 730 days in any five year period not two years. It is an accumulated amount.
