PRRA & Sponsorship (in reply to: Immigration Problems?)
Hello, My name is Tamara. I have a very complicated situation with immigration in regards to my husband. My husband came to Canada from Israel back in 2006 as a visitor, he later on applied for a refugee claim which was refused in 2009. He then appealed it which also was refused 13 months later. Back in October of 2011, My husband met with an immigration officer to receive the PRRA application given 15 days to complete and I was pregnant at the time expecting in June or July which I had informed the immigration officer. In late January 2012, I applied for a spousal sponsorship from outside Canada, I received my first approval on May 16th, 2012 and now the application was sent to the Canadian Embassy in Tel-Aviv for further processing which we should be expecting the 2nd approval in December. On July 19th, we received a letter in the mail in regards to my husbands PRRA, a decision has been rendered and he is asked to meet up with an immigration officer on August 7th, most likely they are going to inform us that their decision is negative and he will have to leave. Will immigration put the PRRA decision on hold due to my first approval I received for the sponsorship application ? will they also consider that we now have a new born baby which was born premature and needs special care ? Please advise me in the right direction because I am confused on what to do, I am worried because I am currently not working, I cannot go back with my husband because my daughter is really small, born premature and has many developmental appointments with doctors. I am not working because I need to take care of my baby, my parents are on disability so they cannot help support me and my baby. What do I do ?

Thank you
