| Subject: Medicals not recieved |
I got a letter from CIC after three months of medicals (done end november 2004) saying to furnish information on medicals I did. That sounds strange!!
Ofcourse I´m going to send the information asked - but what does that mean? Did they misplace the results?
Please confirm.

As expected, they cannot do a better job than screwing up our documents. I think they lost your medical papers.
Are you talking about Buffalo CIC ?

Call your examining physician asap and tell him to send the Medical records again.
Aslo verify with your examining physician how the medical were send , There must be some tracking number for the Medicals.

All of you - Thanks for the advice.
Sorry I did not add this - but yes, it is CIC Buffalo.
I did call up the Medical Center and they have faxed the copies of Medicals to CIC.
The medical center tells me that medicals were sent using regular post - that is surprising considering the $60 odd charge I remember paying for handling and shipping of documents. They don´t have a tracking number.
Well at least have copies and record of the entire medical exam so I guess that helped me!!
I just hope CIC could give a receipt once they get medicals very much like the AOR "OR" make it mandatory to send it only by FEDEX or UPS or whatever so we can track the package. I mean I´d pay even over what I have paid now the extra 30-40 dollars to cover that, and then avoid the delay and trouble.
However, to all of you thanks again for advice and helping me remain calm and composed and do the right thing.

Don´t worry. They just asked the same question to me. Thats part of their standard document asking u to send proof for your medical records. CIC buffalo did that to me. All i did was contact the medical center and they said they have already sent the documents by regular mail (The reason they gave for not sending by FexEx is "International Customs for medical records"..i don´t know how far that is true) but anyway call the medical center in Ottawa (613)941-2170 and check with them if they received the papers. Even though Ottawa center had received my medical papers it took them 4 months to add it in the computer. In the mean time CIC buffalo thinks that u have not done ur medicals and sends that document.
I contacted the ottawa center and after they updated the computer records, i sent a mail via FedEx to bufallo with a copy of the medical receipts and the contact name and number in Ottawa to verify the details about my medicals. After a month i got a letter from CIC to send my passport for visa stamping...
So nothing to worry...ur medical records are not lost.

Hi
I tried to contact the CIC Medical Department in Ottawa. I called at the above number provided by mili. No one answered the phone and the answering machine had a message said ?Any information regarding Immigration Medical file can?t be provide from this number. Please call your immigration office or 1-888-|||-||||?. Any advice?
Note: My Dr. sent the medical to Ottawa in the first week of Dec 04.
