The Minister has not finished destroying the concept of this one, yet. Jason Kenney is requiring the assessment of foreign diplomas for CEC applicants by a third party.
Just think of it a Construction company has had Joe the finish carpenter hanging doors and windows for two years and really need him to stay for good because he is the best finish carpenter they ever have had.
Now they can not renew his work permit because the third party has not finished assessing his foreign diploma. Same works for those IT boys from India, etc etc..
I will never forget when he came out that he was working on faster family reunification then stopped all parents sponsorship´s. Google it in Immages on google

On the other hand, there are lots of fake degrees that can be bought at India..... There are lots of advertisement that promise you fake degrees and fake work experience for immigration purpose... There are companies actually being setup to look legitimate for immigration purpose... How are you going to weed that out???
