Subject: About to hire a consultant
  Hi everyone,

I was in the process of coming to a decision about hiring David Cohen´s firm for Quebec Immigration. I would like to ask people on this form about his services. Is he reliable? is he expensive?

The information i have received from him has been very impressive so far as compared to all the other consultants that i contacted. Can anyone tell of any other good law firm or consultant who i can contact with this regard? I want to weigh out all my options.

All feedback will be much appreciated.

Why don´t you ask him for references directly?

When you hire a huge Law Firm who do you think will do the actual work on your file? David Cohen?????

The amount of time and effort put into ensuring the forms and supporting documents are all perfectly suited to your personal situation is very time consuming.

Any adviser you retain must be approved to work in the Province of Quebec.

I spoke to David´s Cohen on the phone once, after sending a couple of emails I received an email inviting me to call him back. But the thing is, he was in such a rush that I couldn´t explain my self and it gave me the impression that he was not really interested in understanding my situation - so finally his answer was "send the first payment we´ll start your application".

Another thing was that I had misunderstood one of the changes in the immigration laws and I thought that ALL the permanent residents had to wait 5 years to sponsor someone but later on, doing more research I learned that is just someone who was sponsored by a spouse/common-law partner who has to wait 5 years. I mentioned this and he didn´t correct me or explained. (??)

What Roy says is correct big law firms have interns or other people doing the paperwork and my personal opinion is that a mistake could cost you a lot of time a money.BTW he doesnt refund any of the fees if your application is not accepted.
