Subject: How to remove spouse as sponsor
I sponsored my family (parents and siblings) a couple of years ago and my spouse signed the sponsorship agreement as well. Both of our incomes were combined to meet the income requirements. The sponsorship is still in process and proceeding. We have met the income requirements (with combined income) each year.

Now, my spouse and I are having difficulty in our marriage and I don´t want him to use the sponsorship of my parents against me to stay in a difficult relationship.

How do I remove him from the sponsorship (assuming that I can meet the income requirements my self alone)?

Any advise would be appreciated.

You need to contact CIC - Case Processing Centre, in writing and inform them of your change. Make sure to include your file number, name, applicant´s names, DOB. You will likely be asked to submit a new form - sponsorship and undertaking.

Are you not crossing the bridge before you get to the bridge?

"Having Troubles" and we are divorced are two very different things!

It appears that someone got a raise and things at home are not the same because one is making more money than the other and letting the other one know there is a new boss in town.

No money, no honey - too much money, no honey!
