Something very fishy about those new times in general, and specificly for the Paris office .
Paris alway was one of the fastest offices in the world, now it looks like it´s one of the slowest, next to offices like Moscow, New Dehli etc..
It can´t be true that times doubled and even tripled over a couple of months . My application is in the entrepreneur class and waiting times almost doubled in that class !!
I wonder what entrepreneur will wait for 3 to 4 to invest in Canada AND not even be 100% sure they´ll get the PR.
At least, I won´t. If there is no other way to get started sooner I´ll have to go to plan B.

you are right. something is fishy. the link to the webpage has been down since yesterday. I am wondering if they are doing some corrections. Paris cannot have gone through such a dramatic change in waits over night. They had posted a note (I cannot find it now) about some additional volume that may add 30 days to the process but nothing like the website is reporting.

I know Business Class is a different animal, but here is our skilled worker story. My fiance applied June 04. Got AOR about 4 weeks later. We had some problems with mail and lost about 6 weeks time... but as a result, much of our application etc. was dealt with by phone. He was given phone instructions to get his medicals etc. about 3 weeks ago. Today he got a call at work from his family that there is a brown envelop from Paris that has arrived. I am hoping against hope that it is his PP request. I have to wait another 4-5 hours to find out. AGONY. Paris has been very prompt, efficient and accomodating.

yes, the ´average time´ link is down or moved. I cannot find the data anywhere. I wonder if they are doing something to it - like fixing it!

thanks for the good wishes.

I found the link again. the page was updated Feb 7. they are showing averages for all classes through Paris as 5-12 months but all classes separately are way longer than that. Let´s give them a couple of days to figure it out before we light our hair on fire.

Well, Sharon, that´s my point. Averages of the overall process for all classes through Paris ( and probably through all other offices ) have a big discrapancy compared with all classes seperatly, if you catch my drift :)
On the other hand, I might just getting nuts by staring at those numbers for too long and I just have to wait and see.

Do not forget that many applying in Paris apply for Quebec, lowering the overall statistics.

I think we should wait a little bit to see if they correct the website. Another consideration along with Quebec might be whether your application is in French or Enlish!

I´m having my application in English. But I´m a Belgian citizen an since Belgium is officially bilanguage ( in fact it´s trilanguage ) we have a choice to have most of the official documents in Dutch or in French. So, my application is a mix of French & English.
