Subject: outland sponsorship - question
Thanks in advance for any advice, my situation is this:

I am mexican, so is my fiance, we live in Mexico and soon after our engagement he received his PR visa. We had planned to get married on feb 2013 but now he has to be in Canada before january 2013. So now the plans are that I will go to Canada in february to get married there and we will make an OUTLAND sponsorship application because I have two children in Mexico and I have to be in Mexico with them but also wish to be able to visit my husband (just me) during the time of the application. My question is, what are the chances that I can´t re-enter Canada once the sponsorship application has been submitted and would this affect my application?

What is the best way to do it without having to be apart from my husband or my children for 18 months?? - My children will be included in the sponsorship application.

thank you!!

You could get married now and he can include you all in his application.

You can also stop panicking by not properly reading the processing times near the top of the page. It clearly says the processing times are based on 80% of completed cases.

Quote "The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012."

That means that all those that decide to DIY and get kicked for an interview are included in those numbers. Then read that the Embassy in Mexico is also responsible for the following countries Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama. Everyone knows that the roads in Central America so one can attend an interview are of superior quality just like the postal system of all these countries.

What you and your husband can not see is that the time saved hiring a quality experienced authorized representative is priceless.

Thank you Roy. We can´t get married in Mexico there is a law that doesn´t allow women to get married before 300 days have passed since your divorce, Its some sort of punishment. (I have been separated for over 5 years but just about to get my divorce certificate in November). Our only choice is to get married in Canada or another country.

Having a lawyer that represent us was our first idea but I have spoke with three over the phone and they don´t even give me the time to tell them the details of our situation, all they say is "send the first part of the fees and we will start your application" - but WAIT - they don´t know anything about my particular case, circumstances, I don´t know what the procedure is, how long will it take, what are the risks, etc etc etc... this is a HUGE step and a lot of money we will pay and the least thing they could do is give some clear and specific information!

Forgot to mention my fiancé PR visa is for Quebec. I would appreciate if you could recommend a firm

Thank you!

@Mila

The difference between one representative and another is the good ones tell you WHY they do what they do. The okay ones just list WHAT they do.

When someone tells me WHAT they do which appears no different than anyone else I see no reason to retain them. When they have a passion and tell potential clients WHY they want to see loving couples put together sooner than later it would give me a reason to pay them because they care that Immigration should not keep loving couples apart.

Not rocket science!

I´m not authorized to practice in Quebec. I suggest you contact Steven Johnston in Quebec at steven76ca@yahoo.ca he is approved to represent you in the province of Quebec. Let him know I recommended him he has reasonable prices.

Wish you many years of happiness.

Need Assistance Sir (in reply to: outland sponsorship - question)
I got married in May 2014 and spent some time in India, was doing a software course and then wanted to spend some time with my wife and family so came back to canada in august this year. Got a job in September this year, collected all the documents and option C with our travel tickets in india and also our conversation on the phone, ( Vodafone bills, joint bank account statement, marriage pix, etc) and submitted the file.... but there was a change in the IMM0008 so I took back my application from canada post and asked my wife to fill the changed form and courier it from india....! finally sent it to CIC by end of Nov completely. It shows that CIC is processing october 14th file and Approval time shows 61 days...! I applied for a 2.5 weeks vacation at my job and it was approved so I am planning to go to India in Jan 2015 to meet my wife and family. There is also a festival in south india in January that is important for both me and my wife to celebrate together as this is our first festival after our marriage. I will be back in Canada in 2.5 weeks, would this be a issue or any kind of a problem for the file to be delayed ? Just a curious question
