If you try to get a visa, most likely you will be refused; if you embark on illegal ways to enter, it can make things worse. All you could do is wait and let the process complete. What were you doing in US for so many years? Your writing skills are terrible. You might want to improve your language while waiting for this process to complete.

Dual intent is part of the act.

If you tell a CBSA Officer all you really want to do is spend time with your family while the processing is going through the vast majority of CBSA staff will be happy that you told the truth and admit you.

What Roy mentioned is partially true.
Just because of that the CBSA officer will not just "admit you".

Dual intent means that a person attempting to enter Canada cannot be refused of entry due to a dual intend. HOWEVER, you can´t move to Canada while your application is still in process.

You MAY....visit Canada not to permanently move up here. Not yet anyways.

You can come up, visit your wife, spend time with your kids and family and at the end of your visit, you have to go back as a visitor, it is expected that you will visit..just that.
Once your application is approved, then you can move permanently to Canada.

While clearing Customs and Immigration, you still have to prove that you have enough ties to your home country and to prove that you don´t intend to stay in Canada beyond your authorized time in permitted to enter.

Well, if you require a TRV and you don´t present a strong case, dual intent or not, you are not coming in.

I haven´t had a single client who is TRV exempt who was denied admission at a port of entry when trying to enter Canada to spend time with the sponsoring spouse/partner.

They grilled at Pearson a client a couple weeks ago who did not advice me of his travel plans but eventually allowed him to enter for 6 months.

It is hard to believe people from TRV countries.

I helped a hospital manager from Afghanistan get a TRV, married+ 4, she has family in Toronto. Landed in Canada and Boom files a refugee claim.
She had everything: Employment letters, family invitation, proof of ties, ticket back.Nothing really matters.
