Subject: URGENT...HELP from Roy, DocD and others
  Hi all.

This is my situation, My refugee was denied and filed a inland sponsor and got the first stage approved,

The letter say I should submit a paasport, police clearence, etc.

My problem is I lost my passport and managed to get a copy of my passport. So went to my embassy in toronto with all the documents and copy of the passport. They said the passport will be only given if I have a PR card. They refused to give me a passport.

Does anybody know what should I do next and should I inform the CIC.

Thank you.

YOUR LAST CHANCE (in reply to: URGENT...HELP from Roy, DocD and others)

CIC might cut a deal with you if you were not eligible for a passport waiver at the time of landing(Persons seeking this waiver must apply through the regular H&C stream.).

1. Write to CIC with a refused letter for a passport from your embassy.

2. CIC might ask you, instead of a valid passport, for a "one way travel document".

3.If you lose this chance, you might be refused permanent residence in Canada like the applicant in the court document below.

Thank you sooo much for your response.

The link was really useful.

So there is no way I can get approved without a passport.

Is there any other way I can with this..

Thank you..

If you seek H&C considerations it is not a requirement to have a passport only an original document.

Hi.

thank you sooo much.

Is there any time frame I should submit my passport, police clearence, etc to CIC.

The letter from CIC do not tell anything about the dates.

Thank you.

HOW DID YOU LOSE YOUR PASSPORT (in reply to: URGENT...HELP from Roy, DocD and others)
Time frame can be found in the letter that you received, usually within 30 days or so.

1. Supposing that your permanent residence application is in process and a valid and subsisting passport is required as the second stage in progress, but in order to acquire a new passport at the Mexican embassy which refuses to issue a new passport because the old passport is not present.

No one knows whether Fatima´s case is under H&C case. If hers were under H&C case, she would still need a new passport or a letter from the embassy that why a new passport would be not issued, then the immigration officer may be prepared to waive the passport and allow her to land with the old passport.
