Subject: Work Permit Vs Provincial Nominee Program - Urgent
I was working in Canada since April 2008 through my employer sponsorship, work permits were renewed every year. I have now returned back to India but I still have a work permit valid till Jan 2013 with my employer.

The client for which my employer hired me had offered me a job before by departure and I have accepted it.

The new employer are ready to sponsor me for Provincial Nominee Program for my permanent resident application.

My concern is that PNP process will take long(the current processing times for my country is around 10 months). Can someone guide me if my new employer should go for LMO process, get the work permit for me and fill the PNP application when I land back in Canada or we should initiate PNP application process from India and wait for it to complete.

I am aware that I cannot use my current work permit to work for my new employer although the permit is valid because the employer is different.

Any guidance will be helpful.
