If your score is lower than the pass mark, you are not likely to qualify to immigrate to Canada as a skilled worker. We recommend that you do not apply at this time.

However, you can still apply if you believe other factors would show that you are able to establish yourself in Canada and support your dependants. Send a detailed letter with your application explaining why you think you are able to become economically established in Canada. Include any documents that support your claim.

My question is: What does this mean "the second paragraph" and do you think this works sometime, is it talking about money or financial background?

Thanks,
Speedoflight

If you don´t have 67 points - your application will be refused. Forget about the second paragraph.

Skilled worker applications are currently closed until further notice so all this speculation about points and other factors is moot. They are suggesting we might have new rules by January. Wait. All your fretting at this stage is a waste of energy.

Ok you´re right, but what do you think for the paragraph that I am asking, do you think that worked in the past and it was more about financial (money) background.

Thanks

CIC has too many applications. They are trying to make it harder - not easier. Money is not the issue. Skills are the issue.

No - this paragraph hasn´t worked in the past. Less than 67 points = refusal.

How do you know that.... Why is there on CiC web... It might gives CIC officer power to choose on racial selection...

Immigration application queries (in reply to: passing score 67)
Hi,

Please someone share his/her expert views on my below queries:

1. I changed my last name in 2005, all my qualifications & some work experience are in old name and major work experience in new name.
What documents are required for name change proof?

2. What is the fund required at the time of arrival per member (we are 4 members), does it play any role at the time of filing the application. If yes, what sources of fund can fulfill this criteria?

3. I have done my qualification through correspondence from Delhi University. Does it pose any hindrance in getting the PR?

4. What are the documents requirements as proof of work experience and KRA?

5. Is it worth going to a consultant for filing the application. How beneficial it is?
