Subject: Don't understand the conditions on my new permit |

I was recently approved and sent an Open Work permit while my family class perm residency application is being processed (currently passed Stage one with spouse sponsor and awaiting background and medical checks).
The condition on my new work permit (case type 27) says "unless authorized, prohibited from engaging in employment in Canada"
What does that mean? I have a an open work permit but can´t work?? Doesn´t make any sense.
Can anyone help me understand?
Thanks

(in reply to: Don't understand the conditions on my new permit) Unless authorized work in 1)child care, 2) primary or secondary school teaching, 3) health services file occupations, 4) agricultural occupations.

(in reply to: Don't understand the conditions on my new permit) you understand why? you have not had full medical or police clearances and that would be a requirement for these jobs.

(in reply to: Don't understand the conditions on my new permit) Thanks Sharon,
I´m not interested in working in these specialized areas as outlined by the previous replier. It just says ´unless authorized, prohibited from engaging in employment in Canada´...no mention of these specific industries. But if that is what it´s referring to, then I´m fine to continue working in my hospitality management job.
