Subject: Soon to be spouse sponsor.....a few questions
  Hello Discussion Forum

I am a long time observer/reader of this forum, a first time poster and soon to be sponsor. This seems to be the most interesting forum I have been reading.

I am a Canadian Citizen living in Poland and will be sponsoring my Polish wife from Poland. I will begin the process while I am here and then be returning to Canada at the end of June, as my work contract is over, my residency card is expired and I will be re-applying with the Ontario College of Teachers.I have a one way ticket back to Canada and my wife and I have a joint bank account in Canada. Hopefully all the above is enough to say I am severing ties with Poland.

Anyway...to the topic at hand....
I have read all the CIC manuals and handbooks and have gone over the instructions a million times...
I have also read on many forums and in many posts about writing N/A in any space that does not apply to me or my spouse. It seems that many forms will just be N/A....example.....

IMM 0008 pg 2......Details of Family members

there are no family mambers to include.....I am her spouse but I am the sponsor...she has no children...so no family members, right?
My question is...do I have to write N/A in every space on the sheet (there are about 57 spaces.....or is writing N/A at the top of each column OK? I do not want the forms to be sent back because there were not enough N/A s.....

Another N/A query...Sponsor questionnaire..... there are many questions that are YES or NO...if you tick NO then there is nothing else to write BUT do I have to write N/A in the spaces beside YES?

For example.....did anyone introduce you? NO or YES...we ticked NO and I think that should be self explanatory but should I write N/A in the three spaces beside YES?

Sorry for the questions but I want to make sure it is done right the first time......

Any advice would be greatly appreciated......

Good Luck to everyone......it is a long, hard process to go through but with boards like this, we can get through it.

Hello there,
I wrote there 50 something times N/A. You know what, its not gonna hurt the application, so might as well.
Now, regarding your Yes and No questions,

where is says if NO, please explain (you explain),

if you click Yes, no explanation required, then just continue, I did not write N/A there.

Hi there, good point,

I wrote "n/a" on every single space left blank in the fill-in fields. Do yourself a favor and use the fill-in pdf forms available at the CIC Web site.

From reading this forum I have learned that they have known to return applications unprocessed for missing an n/a somewhere.

The extra little time put into this is worth the headache or worrying later.
