Hello guys, can you please help me with a very urgent query on my Canadian family visa application. My sister has recently got Canadian citizenship. I will be 18 years old in 2 months time. Currently I live in Bangldesh. Now my sister is applying for me under ´other eligible relative´ route in 2 weeks time, I know by the time my application gets processed and receive a decision, I will be 18+, will the age be a factor then or do they only count age on the date of application?

Just to confirm - your sister has no husband or children? And are both of your parents deceased as well?

My sister has 2 children
My parents are also in Bangladesh
Can my sister apply for me only, excluding my parents?
Also, a very important point since I am going to be 18 in 2 months, The link of CIC below suggests that there are 2 stages for the application.

Now question is do I have to be under 18 in both stages ( approval of sponsorship from canada and my application from Bangladesh)

Your sister has misunderstood the rules unfortunately. She cannot file a sponsorship application just for you. You don´t qualify.
Parent sponsorship is currently on hold. We expect CIC will start accepting applications again in about a year. Once parent sponsorship re-opens, your sister can sponsor your parents and you can be included as a dependent (if you still qualify as a dependent at that time).
No - your sister cannot sponsor just you. So the fact that you are going to be 18 in 2 months makes no difference.

Thank you so much both of you.
But, this makes my life a hell lot of complicated!
And makes me really think a much different way.
If i want to go to Canada as a student, upon completion of my degree or equivalent would I be able to settle there in Canada?
