  To All

Over the past year Ottawa has made some sweeping and controversial changes to the immigration, asylum and refugee system, and the rules involving Canadian citizenship.

In doing so, the federal Conservative government has radically changed the landscape and made it much tougher for many to make Canada their home.

The changes have come fast and furious with no complete details available.

Ontario and Alberta will need many Skilled Trade Workers but the program is not clear and sets a Cap. Will those already working without authorization be allowed to apply?

New rules for Spousal Sponsorship.

New FSW program where credentials need to be assessed but again no clear details. New point system and language requirements.

Refugee claim process totally changed.

Citizenship applicants now have to prove language ability and prove residency.

Rules regarding Temporary Foreign Workers drastically rewritten.

***Time saved hiring an experienced Immigration adviser - Priceless!

Its a scary post Roy,

We all know that its going to be harder and harder... Without job offer now on, we cant even think FSW program.

I have a question Roy please.

I have a friend in Montreal who is offering me a job, he will apply for LMO and ofers me a job.

I like to apply with that job offer for Quebec Certificate Nomination, but my wife doesnt have French Language Certification, And since 2011 Quebec requires for both aplicant and spouse Language Certs, in order to get points in Language part.

The only way is to get Work Permit, go there work 1 year fullfill CEC requirements and apply from within, but I have to wait to finish my Master first.

any help Roy
Please...........

Yours Speedoflight

All political parties like immigrants - because they vote. You complained about the rules and how long it took, and how hard it was to find a job under the Liberals, now we complain about the new rules under the Conservatives.

It´s no win.

There is a special IT program in Quebec that does not require French.

Hi,

I would like to live in Canada. I work in IT (oracle database developer).
I read that one of important condicions to immigrate is that you need job offer.
But how can I find a job if I can´t tell to my potencial employer when(or if) I will be able to start...

Super visa (in reply to: Immigration Changes in 2013)
Hi Roy...my question is about parent sponsorship. I applied in 2010 to sponsor my parents and my 5 siblings who are dependents and they all live in Afghanistan...as you know it takes years n years to process parents sponsorship application. And since CIC has introduced the new 2 year multiple entry super visa for visiting parents, So i want to send a visitor visa for my dad to come and visit me for a month. Will i ever get a visitor visa for him??? I have not applied yet but everyone i know told me not to waste my time becoz Afghanistan is the biggest refugee claimant country so your father wont get a visa becoz the visa officer will strongly doubt if he will return back to Afghanistan..... My question is that since he will have his entire family...wife and 5 dependent children back home...he has a strong reason to go bk and that may convince the visa officer? He also has two properties on his name...it has been. 2.5 years since we have filed the sponsorship. Please help me and let me know what can be done to get a visit visa and not a denial. Thank you
