Yesterday the Globe and Mail printed an article with the title. "Ottawa to play Matchmaker for foreign workers".

Common sense has to rule.

Which employer would accept Jason Kenney as a Matchmaker for foreign workers as permanent residents and wait at least a year for the employee? It will take at least a year to process anyone for PR status.

Those with experience knows the applicant has to do medicals and will require background checks and proof of no convictions. What if the applicant no longer wants to Immigrate or has been in the pool so long his skin is all wrinkled?

If the employer can´t find workers in Canada why would he not apply for a Labour Market Opinion (LMO) and bring the employer in ASAP? Then the applicant can apply under the CEC in one year if he wishes to obtain Permanent Resident status.

Could these PR applicants take employers to court if they are selected from the pool then the company has to downsize and there is no permanent job when they arrive?

I see this as nothing more than Jason Kenney hating Counsels who have been bringing in Permanent Residents for years. What was the purpose of the Ministerial occupation list in the first place?

Change just for change sake makes no common sense.
