| Subject: LMO in Process-Work Permit Is Running out soon! |

A friend of mine has his foreign work permit ending on February 8th.
His employer has just filed for an LMO (labour market opinion) as his job has been extended. The LMO was just sent in 2 days ago and takes 10 weeks to process, his work permit will run out by then.
Is there a grace period or anything he can do to continue working or stay in Canada until this LMO is processed?
He needs a positive LMO before he can re-apply for a work permit.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

he can stay in Canada 90 days after his work permit expired, during that time he can wait for his new positive lmo and extend his work permit, I think he still has time.
