My family and I were given canadian immigration visas and we arrive in toronto the first week of march.
My question is where do we file for the permanent residence card, is it in the airport with the immigration agents? What would be the necessary time to complete the request?

It will happen automatically when you land.
I believe processing time is around 62 days right now.
