I have been in the Immigration business around thirty years and have seen other Lawyers suspended for various reasons but information never posted as an operational bulletin by CIC.

When Tim Leahy went after the Minister for throwing thousands of FSW in the trash all I can suspect is that everyone at CIC did not want to be held accountable for such a disputable action.

It´s a fascinating story to follow.

Have you researched Tim´s history? This is by no means his first suspension. He did at least one 8 month stint before for operating without insurance.

When one tries to take a stand on principals instead of just following the heard over the cliff things happen.

The larger the client base the more likely that sooner or later someone will be unhappy and file a complaint regardless of how hard one tries to represent a client ethically and professionally.

The issue is that during the Christmas holidays when your trying to keep families in Canada and dealing with ones own family sometimes responses are fast enough for a regulator who wants to be the only Boss.
