Hi,
I applied under H & C and got approved last year. Last week, I got letter from CIC Toronto office (my local CIC office) to appear in with family for landing interview. They asked me to bring passport, photo, job letter, income tax paper and all old/expired work permits, and IFH immigration papers and landing fee.
I am just wondering, what they will ask me there? What kind of interview this will be? any one on this forum had any this kind of experience, please share.

The landing officer asks general questions regarding your personal information and also some specific questions whether the person before her (officer) is indeed the applicant who appeared for the lading interview.
Listen for what questions other applicants face before you are called in. Questions vary from one to another.
You will sign the Confirmation of Permanent residence. Make sure there is no type error so go over carefully. Hand them your photos to be used for PR card.
And get your SIN printed next to Service Canada window.

Can you let us know how long it took after stage 1 approval for the stage2 approval ?
In my case case all documents required (including medicals, RCMP check etc. ) were sent to CIC Etobicoke centre by Dec 6th 2012. This is for my parent.

Finaly, we got landing! thanks God.
It took about 10 minutes to stamp the passports and write some info on landing papers.
It wasn´t even an interview. He just checked our photo IDs, to make sure that we are the right persons.

even if the passport is expired and you can prove that embassy do not want to renew it, you´ll get landing on expire pp
