Subject: Immigration Points
I applied for immigration last year, and I think I´ve 75 points in total. I claimed 10 points for 14 months full time work as an intern between my 3rd and fourth year of my undergraduate degree. I´m doing my grad studies now and will graduate in Sep 2006. I worked in Canada and studying in Canada as well. I have two questions:
1) Will I get 10 points from my work experince before graduation under work experince catagory?
2) Will I get 25 points for education, since I´m a grad student or I have to finish my degree first?

I applied in March 2004 and recieved my AOR in April 2004.
thanking in advance for help..
best wishes,

If you had 1 yr of equivalent full-time work experience when you applied then you get the required work points.

Now you havent compleated yout Masters yet so you cannot get the points for masters degree... you wll get the points for your bachelor´s

The CIC policy towards work experience obtained during an internship is not clear. In some cases they award points for it and in others they don´t. They award you points for education not only based on your highest degree but also number of years completed.

You should have heard some news from CIC by now. I would recommend getting your CAIPS.
