Subject: travelling to canada as a permanent resident |
I just received my Visa and confirmation for permanent residence. My mother is the principal applicant of our case and i am her dependent. Can i travel to Canada alone for the first time? she will join me later in a few months there in Canada. Or we need to travel together only?

(in reply to: travelling to canada as a permanent resident) No - you cannot arrive in Canada ahead of your mother. Since she is the principal applicant, you must either arrive with her or after her.

(in reply to: travelling to canada as a permanent resident) Easiest way??? First immigrate to US; then get US passport, you can then simply drive into Canada...

travelling to canada as a permanent resident posting (in reply to: travelling to canada as a permanent resident) I agree with the others, traveling ahead of your mother who´s the original principal applicant as it would cause trouble by immigrating and an absolute mistake one wouldn´t want to take. You may come together with your mom.
Have a great day. =)
