Finally i got my CAIPS notes, the good thing is that they been following with my case. but the bad thing is that since Oct 2001 they are conducting a background check on my wife with the FBI and still did not recieve an answer. my wife is just a student wife which means that she does not work or do anything except taking care of her famioly. even she did not have a traffic ticket for seven years now in USA. what should I do or what should i do to clarify this situation specially that i know that my wife have a clean record 100%. please your help is a ppreciated.

Be patient and just wait my friend, there is nothing you can do. If your wife has no criminal history, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. This process takes time, the only thing you can do is wait and continue your life as normal.

thank you ozz for comforting me, but the fact is 42 months is not a short time and still u do not know how long more u have to wait. besides that i have to keep renewing my medical (around $ 1000 for the whole family)

MAYBE it may help to call FBI and confirm that your materials have arrived there or not. It´s unusual for US authorities to take this long without notification (at least in my experience). It doesn´t hurt to ask.

Thanks Steve for your advice. do you have an idea where do I have to call to inquire about that since the last time I had contact with them was 4 years ago(for police clearance)

FBI CJIS Customer Service at (304)625-5590. They will ask for ur last name and verify your mailing address.
