Subject: Points for immigration
I heard from a immigrant, that if I attached a letter which mentions that if my friend in cananda who is permanent resident, will support me there(canada), will count 10 point.

How far it is correct.

Thanks

It is true that you get points but the person shud be ur relative (uncle, aunrt etc..see the definition of relative on website cic.gc.ca ). Just any person or friend in Canada will not do..

It´s only 5 points for a close relative in Canada. And according to the instuctions you have to include a copy of the relative´s PR card or Canadian passport. Also, you have to send in proof of the relationship (birth/marriage certificates). See the visa post specific instructions for more information.
