Indians are amoral (there were cases of brother-sister weddings) and such perverse fraud was uncovered in the past after they already immigrated; with gang-rapes widespread and desperation raising as their economy tanks, much more fraud is likely so they need to stop all those cases. The marriage in India is so superficial the wedded folks may not hardly know each other, this makes fraud even more easy to commit.
