I applied for permanent residence on H&C , The officer said so many stuffs missing or not presented and I had most of them on the application. he denied it. I applied for leave with federal court because all what the officer asked was in the file and my incompetent lawyer said he sent them all to CIC, some update that I gave him and He keep all my updated documents hiding on his deck. when the denied letter and explanation of the denied come, he told me sorry he is surprise the result is negative and also he forget to send all my update document to CIC. when i ask him why, he say he just forget, now I am in legal limbo because of him. this lawyer tell me , he will send an other H&C application for me for free because of his mistakes, I accept because i don`t have money to pay other lawyer to do it. Now he send the application again with full of mistakes again. I need a good immigration consultant to Update the application for me by using the reasons of denied of the previous officer step by step , because i have all document required the officer but the lawyer did not send them or ask me for them.
Please help...(Good lawyer, Paralegal or consultant) thanks Again Guys

Hey Jonas, to begin with; I think you have most of the fault and now you´re blaming the lawyer. Once you´ve paid tem their fees, it takes only a professional and God fearing lawyer to look unto your side again. Listen and listen, If you have your ways to apply before anything happens, please and please update this things yourself. I took my case by the horn for three years. I paid a lawyer at the start of the case, and I did all other updating processing myself. If you can´t, send me your e-mail and i´ll draft you a copy of how to update your files. Never and never wait for any lawyer to do that and even though you want the lawyer to do it, make sure you follow up to the last point that he/she send the information. Now my mind is settle because I never gave p everything to my lawyer. There are some times I will call him and he´ll tell me ´´ I´m busy but we can meet up next two week´´. That was when I Made a research on how to update a file. Now he´s claiming the glory, but I did about 80% of the whole journey. send me your e-mail and i´ll send you a template. Some people will come here now and criticize me for what I have said, but who cares? It´s your money they needed and nothing more.

Buyer Beware!
Now let me get this posting straight in my mind. You hired a LAWYER to assist you with an H&C application. Not one piece of information why your situation is exceptional. Nothing to see that would prove you have an unusual, undeserved or disproportionate hardship if removed.
Is it the Lawyers fault????
What due diligence did you conduct before retaining that particular Lawyer?
Did he/she prove they win H&C applications? Did you get references? Or were you impressed because he was a LAWYER!!!! Did you get amazed by their office and sexy receptionist?
Did you use the same LAWYER to apply for leave to the Federal Court to Appeal your H&C refusal?????????
Sure looks like you have too much money.
***Compassion has to be common sense. So why should people here and CIC Officers show you compassion?
So did you file a complaint with the LAWYER´s regulatory body to claim he is incompetent when you paid him TWICE to do poor work on your behalf?
Now you want to submit another H&C application and your looking for a "(Good lawyer, Paralegal or consultant) thanks Again Guys)".
Yesterday I met with a potential client who has filed a refugee claim based on China´s One Child Policy. They have four kids two born in Canada (twins) and two born in Hong Kong but they are from mainland China. They were referred to me by a successful high profile media client that I was successful with. They knew how many above quota cases and unmarried mothers from China´s cases I have won. They were shown HOW I would present their case and plenty of evidence I would have available to prove their situation.
They decided to stay with their Consultant they already hired because he charges lots of money but only if successful.
I find them penny wise and pound foolish and you just pound foolish.
The odds of CIC assessing your new H&C application without a complaint filed and you running to the media virtually nil no matter who assist you with your application.

Jonas,
What Roy is asking you to do is to do your job!
It is your responsibility to do the proper due diligence to make sure that the lawyer you are going to retain is competent enough to handle your case.
It sounds quite irresponsible to use the same lawyer to fill the leave of appeal after what happened.
One thing to understand is the process. You realize that when it comes down to H&C applications, time is everything! An H&C application in process does not prevent your removal. You can only hope that your application is approved before the removal order is issued and/or enforced.
You already lost a big chunk of priceless time.
The leave of appeal is a waste of time and money, you can only appeal the officer not following the process not his/her decision.
Instead of burning more cash into this, you should consider other alternatives such as leaving Canada and find a legal way to be brought back.

DocD is right because going to Federal Court you have to prove the (CIC Officer made the wrong decision) but your application has to be based on the evidence that had been submitted which you claim was lacking.
That would of cost at least $5,000.00

I am from Burund they don`t remove people of my country but I am working in north York hospital as a care giver..why they live people from moratorium country on a legal limbo..why...if you place an hold on removal to those countries why can`t you give them the residency after some years here , working so hard and pay taxes..why..even thus your application is very well prepare they still denied it ,they just create false reasons to denied it. this is not humanitarian at all...anyway I will work , make some money and get out of there, I am helping and work so hard since I move to this country I love so much but treat me like I was an animal or alien ...Burundi is a nice place but those politician can`t me the country safe for people to stay home and live freely..I wld love to file a complain for the lawyer but I let it go, this is not my country they will never give me reason on top of the lawyer further more I am illegal here...No matter what I love this country , it is a nice country , only some immigration officer making people suffer but not the country, people here are great, I will pray one Day God will change some of them Hearth, we are all brother/sisters in the eyes of the Lord.
Can anyone tell me where or who is a good consultant to write a very good update for me because my English is not too good.

Plenty of times it is the Consultants or Lawyers fault. Not all authorized representatives have common sense or understand what is an H&C factor!!!!
All one has to do is Google the Representatives name at least with the word Immigration to see what others think of them or what cases they have won.
If all you find is fee web hosting sites RUN! All applicants have a responsibility to do some research before retaining their Counsel.

Hi every one,
Please I need help, I receive a refusal letter on the 9th of may 2013 after 2yrs of waiting on h&c only to find out the officer said all factors that I cited in your application were considered. However, an officer determined they were not sufficient for me to be granted an exemption on h&c I don´t know I gave my lawyers every thing he summited them but I don´t know what the officer really want but one thing keep giving me concern when I relocated to the new state I am through this humanitarian my lawyer told me to look for school to start immediately so immediately I registered at the Adult high school which I took all science courses and now I am graduating on this June which is next month could this be because I was receiving social benefit because of my three children I could not manage work with the full time school someone help please I don´t know what to do next I am afraid to be deported with my kids after five years of struggles, please I only need good respond please not in an abusive manner as no body is above

Angel, if you visit the gic website you will note that receiving social assistance is a no, no to your h and c application (inadmissable)
