Which is considered a correct document for father´s name.
My father´s name in passport is Sachin, while it is Sacheen in my birth certificate. Normally I would have gone by what is in the passport, but I just happened to check what they use to find out relationship proof(for sponsoring your father/mother). It seems they check the birth certificate in that case.
So my questions:
1) will it matter?
2) which name shud i use?

Rajesh,
Prepare an affidavit and cover all the names mentioned above and others (in his birth certificate, degree certificate etc...) and ask him what he wants to be called "Sachin" or "Sacheen" and then choose that name.
Check with local notary where you live, he / she should be able to help preparing the same and once this affidavit is available, include that document along with other application supportive documents.
