Hey Hobbes/Roy
Gonna bother you again...
I´m planning to deliver my baby in Canada. However, I will have to exit the country for 5 months before coming back and settle for good (delay caused by my kids schools). This will result in a shortage of around 150 days from the total 730 days we are supposed to meet in order to renew the PR Cards. My big question is:
1. Would the government deny me a PR renewal even tho my baby is Canadian
2. My other kids are minors... Would they also lose the right to renew their PR???

1) Yes - they can certainly deny. You must still meet the residency requirement to keep your PR status. Having a Canadian citizen child changes nothing.
2) Minors must meet the residency requirement to keep their PR status. If they don´t meet the residency obligation they could lose their PR status as well.

Transfer your children to a school in Canada. Problem solved.

If you have been outside of Canada for many months, plan to return to Canada for a short period of time just to give birth and then leave again for a number of months - you should be aware that the province might come after you for the costs of the delivery since there are residency requirements you must also meet to keep your health care coverage. A poster on another forum had the province come after her for over $30K for this reason.
