Subject: Always detained at U.S. border!
When cross border shopping into the U.S. I am always directed to immigration for further questioning about my marital status, location of my son, etc. I am recently divorced(uncontested) and have joint and residential of my 4 yr. old son. He does not have a passport, I´ve never applied for one for him or ever tried to take him across the border. Somehow my ex has got me entered on a watch list. Can anyone tell me how he did it and what I can do to get this watch list. Thank you all!!!

Fear makes people do strange things.

Just maybe he thinks your going to the States all the time having an affair and is afraid his child will be taken there for ever beyond the jurisdiction of the Canadian courts.

Men love their kids just as much as mothers do!

Try talking to your X to see if he had you put under survellance.

Thanks for the reply. My ex knows full well that I have no ties in the U.S. and would never move there. I have a good job, my family is all around me, and I love living here. it is apparent that she just wants to cause me some inconvenience and aggravation. I have scoured the internet trying to ascertain how she could have got me on a watch list but can´t find any answers. From what I have learned that to get off a list, only the agency that put you on, can get you off. Since no agencies were ever involved in our divorce proceedings, it boggles me. Thanks.

It might not be your EX causing you problems. It could be others. Go to CBSA and talk to them like an adult.
