If someone entered Canada as a tourist 11 years ago and never left, can they still be deported, or do they have a right to stay due to the amount of time they have been there?

If someone has never applied to stay in Canada and they`re caught of course they can be Excluded/Removed for overstaying.
Now if there are grounds to approve them from within Canada based on H&C factors because they have unusual, undeserved of disproportionate hardships. Establishment in Canada will be looked at.
If they fall in Love and get married then submit a sponsorship that is a way to stay as well.

A person with an expired visa may be arrested, detained, reviewed, released on bond posted by PR or citizen and would have to report monthly or weekly, receives Exclusion order (one of three removal orders) barred from entering Canada for a certain year.
Before receiving the Exclusion order, the client is given a chance to say whether she is afraid of going back to her own country- refugee claim or not.
Receiving the Exclusion order and signing it, the client waits until the removal order becomes in FORCE. An interview is called in so called PRRA- Pre-Removal Risk Assessment, a licence to remove.
At this point, there are about 3 possibilities. An H&C application along with A PRRA or inland spousal application. Changes have been made in the last 5 years.

Thanks for the answers guys.
I am not sure that refugee status could be claimed as the UK is not such a dangerous place.
The person was on bail in the UK and would have had a guaranteed jail sentence, before running off to Canada so I suppose they could claim they were scared.
Not sure how I am going to proceed but thanks again

What happened to squatters´ rights? She basically squatted on Canadian soil long enough to deserve amnesty and all rights to continue to live here. Sarah you have my approval and I would say fight the sonsabitches for your rights.

I think you may have the wrong end of the stick. I am not the person who is illegally in Canada and I am annoyed that the person who is, is escaping justice.
I am in the UK and don´t actually believe in squatters rights wherever they are

hi Sarah, i´m in the same situation and i´n here almost 15y, i just don´t really understand what are you doing here for so long, what IS spacial about Canada? in the UK you have same health benefits , you can make $25k a year.
i hope you are healthy and don´t have to visit a hospital here.

I would like to ask about this topic.
My friend (not any more) she illegally stayed Canada 20 years.
she was private tutor. She made a money under the table.
Anyway, she started using me and my friend to make money. we were almost deceived. She move to other city, now.
I think she is looking for next target.
How can I report this ?
I want to stop her.
She is American.
She did not pay tax in USA and of course Canada.
