  Good day

Hi I filled an inland sponsor application to sponsor my husband

My husband got first stage of approval in september 2012 and CIC requested for some documents, such as passport and some police clearences. he submitted everything on 17 Jan 2013.

My question is how long will it take to process to complete. what is the time frame. Can we fly outside the country before its approved.

Thank you in advance

Don´t fly outside of the country before your husband has PR. If he leaves the country and isn´t allowed back in, this will effectively cancel his application.

The officially posted processing time for stage 2 is 8 months. However it could take less time for you or it could take more. It´s impossible to say.

Thank you soo much for your quick reply.

Just would like to know, is the second stage is counted from the day we have submitted all the documnents such as police clearence and passport or is it after the first stage was approved.

If we are planning to move within the same city, will it effect the processing time.

Thank you

If the applicant is no longer IN CANADA then of course the spousal sponsorship IN CANADA application can not be considered.

There is no counting the second stage processing it takes as long as it takes.
