I am planning to visit my younger brother, who is a student in university of Alberta, calgary .
I live in melbourne , Australia but I am a Pakistani citizen .
I will be applying for the visa from melbourne in next 20 days.
I have got few questions.
1- how much funds should I show ? (i have already booked all my flights and hotel accomodation in advance , I will be staying for one week only and supporting myself financially. Will $5000 AUD be enough?
2- what should I include in my purpose of visit ? (my only purpose is to spend time with my brother, not sure if this would be enough and do I need to put in more )

(in reply to: visit to my brother in calgary) The University of Alberta is not located in Calgary.

(in reply to: visit to my brother in calgary) the money seems ok but that still does not guarantee that you will get a visa; a Paki terrorist, even with a million dollars, will get detained, imprisoned and deported! so it all may depend on whether you can convince the visa post of your worthiness to get a visa. Good luck, in any case.
