Hello, I am working right now as a live-in caregiver for 6months. My boyfriend is a Canadian Citizen and we´re planning to get married early next year. We are leaving together now every weekends and he puts me to his insurance a a common law. My questions is Is it possible to work as a live-in caregiver at the same time he will sponsor me as a spouse/common law sponsorships?,. Thanks so much looking forward to hear some answers.

Live-in caregiver (in reply to: Live-in caregiver/spousal sponsorships) You can certainly apply as a common law partner after one year of living with your boyfriend. However, since you are a caregiver your contract may stipulate that you live in with your employer and not live out and as a result this may cause some questions on your PR application. You can contact us and we will be happy to assist you with your application should you wish. 1 (647) 556-1781
