Dear Forum members,
my nephew who is suffering from Cerebral Palsy has to undergo treatment at medical center in Picton. He needs to travel for the september session (5 weeks) but we just now came to know the normal process of visa has been extended from 8 days to 1 month and also they are refusing lot´s of Visa application on different grounds.
I am wondering if we can request for faster processing using any clause or special visa category to get the visa in 2 weeks to attend the session.
If there is any such process then please let me know.
Best Regards

(in reply to: Information on visa for medical treatment) No - there is no expedite process for visitor visas.
And no - there is no special visa category. Your nephew needs to apply for a regular visitor visa.
To be approved, an applicant must demonstrate that they have strong ties to their home country and that they have no plans to remain in Canada long term.
