Subject: record of landing

I landed in Canada in 1957. Children @ that time (from the Netherlands)
where on the passport of their parents.
Now Immigration Canada want me to provide prove that I landed in Canada.
Both my parents are deceased and I far as I know we no longer have the passports. I became a citizen in 1969.

I was told to fill out form MM1000, but can´t find it on the site I was given, help.

Maybe I can get my taxes back since they say I did not come to Canada..lol.

But seriously I need this for my OAS. (No problem getting my CPP) Again Help.

In order to obtain a document that states that you landed in Canada in such and such date, you might need to look at Application for a Verification of Status (VOS) or Replacement of an Immigration Document.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/certcopy.asp

For a detailed travel history in and out of Canada, go to Canada Border Services Agency
Access to Information and Privacy Coordinator
410 Laurier Avenue West, 11th floor
Ottawa, ON K1A 0L8

You also need to prove that you resided in Canada at least ten years. Your Canadian Passport pages with stamps must be copied and certified.

You may be asked to provide your means of support from such a date to such a date. Notice of assessment, utility bills and medical records should come in handy. Guaranteed Income supplement(GIS) starts about one year after you start receiving OAS. If you have a spouse, you may be asked for a marriage certificate.

I need to supply proof of residency for last ten years? I have not been out of this country since 1979. I don´t even have a passport anymore. Why do I need one if I have not left the country for 34years. I know it is hard to believe but I have not been able to afford it. Why do you people doubt my word?
Also is not the fact that I came to Canada on my parents passport in 1957 and was 9yrs old and became a citizen in 1969 proof? Why would I lie to you about this? I have sent you the original document of my citizenship why, do you need more? My parents where Anna (nee Koring) & Willem Kuhlman. You should have records of these people. (both diseased).
You are giving me nothing but grief. These are asinine requests. Why do you need utility records (which don´t prove a thing re:my residency). I you need a pound of flesh too, I´ll see what I can do. BTW. Can you provide info about you since 1957? See how ridiculous this is?

The IMM 1000 is a record of Landing form you would have received in 1957.

Contact the call centre at 1-888-242-2100 and ask for the form they will e-mail you a link. When you call one for English and follow the prompts wait for the one that says you have an application in process that is 2 then when it asks again which type of application push 1 for permanent residents then 0 to speak to someone.

Wish you the best.

Landing Record (in reply to: record of landing)
I need to get a copy of my father´s landing record from 1948. I don´t have any of his records and documents except for a death certificate. How do I go about getting a copy of this?

I was going thru my files and read your reply re:record of landing 1957; "you would have received in 1957" I did not receive such form as I was 9yrs old @ the time (IE:under age). Like I said before I came with my parents (who are deceased). I would not have been able to file them because I never had them. This is nothing but a make work project.

Re: my passport, explain to me why would I have a passport if I don´t need to use one. Since I have not left the country since 1979?

Thank you.
