CAIPS notes on web

Subject: CAIPS notes on web
Here is my other question stemming from the distant possibility for a happy wait experience for immigrant applicants.

We know CAIPS notes are no govt. secret and are accessible by applicants and at a nominal fee.

Why can´t this be available at the E-System? OK if they want they can charge the nominal fees. There is nothing extra CIC has to do in terms of technology or law change.

This will keep applicant updated "real-time" as the file moves and records are made.

Any comments?

Wrong.CAIPS notes ,in fact ,is internal information of the immigration administration and as such not for everyone to see.
On the other hand, there is something like a Canadian freedom of information act, where every Canadian or permanent resident has the right to have an insight of official documents.
That´s how to get your CAIPS notes and that´s why it has to be done through a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Well exactly,

If all Canadians can see them; an applicant should see it as well - what is wrong in that?

Moving on those lines; why can´t they be accessed online - OK not free but for a nominal fees.

This will keep all happy!! Applicants would get a "Kick" to see their files move real time.

Would you want some hacker sitting somewhere hidden in his basement to change your information online and mess up iwht your immigration file...

I suppose NO... thats the reason ou dont want all your information online...

There will be more identity thefts, more of your personal informarmation will be flowing freely on the web... and there will be nothing private about yourself...

So I am happy that its not in the public domain... better wait 4-6 weeks to get my info then letting anyone and everyone see my info...

Yep, privacy act prohibits that kind of information sharing. Especially these days, identity thefts are everywhere. If you live in Canada, at least you have once or twice experience on credit card fraud. Like people use your number and expired number to purchase some merchandises.

That??s another reason on E-CLIENT; you have rights to withdraw your case status showing on-line.

Hey dudes, So:

1. You should not then take your credit card or money with you because they might be stolen by a thief?

2. CIC must shut down the current e-Client application status website because if someone gains access to that he/she has enough information to send CIC a fax and change your address or withdraw your application?

3. You should never shop online because a hacker in the basement of a house might sniff your information?

Huh? That´s what you´re trying to tell people? Come on guys. Stop saying .... Okey, I do not want you to get annoyed but think more for God sake!!!!
