| Subject: How Long for parents 2 receive Permanent Residence |

We applied for my mother and father to come to Canada based on family and it has been more than 2 years since we never heard back after we submitted the application.
Just wonder how long it takes Canadian Immigration to respond?
Anyone submitted about the same time - December 2011 from Mississauga ?
Please share your timelines.

You still have several years to wait. The Mississauga processing time alone is over three years (41 months). Right now the Mississauga office is working on applications received May 2010. So you still have a good year and a half to wait before you hear anything from this office.
Once Mississauga processing has been completed, the application will be sent to the country visa office for stage 2 processing. You can see the processing times for stage 2 here:
