Subject: Interested in immigrating to CAN from US
Hello, I am an American Citizen who is very determined to immigrate to Canada.
My ideals and sensibilities tend to overlap with that of Canadians. For a while my plan was too live and work in the US until I could immigrate to Canada properly. That was 3 years ago. Since then, my overpriced college education has left me with little to no opportunities in the US. My student loan debt has defaulted and ruined my credit. Terrible credit regardless of how it is acquired, leaves me with little opportunity to attain a job able to fulfill my needs.
My life style is not your typical cell phone addicted, facebook posting, foursquare checked in 20 something with a star-bucks latte and sense of entitlement. I just want to get a job that allows me to save occasionally and pay my bills on time. My goal is to live simply in a nice place with some kind folks. Maybe have some wine with a good book on a rainy saturday night, and perhaps make a planter out of the bottle the following week. Just sayin.
I know I can attain both training and a job in Canada through a valid immigration service, and work my tail off to not only pay off my US debts, but become apart of a community that I actually love. Its important to me to become apart of a community that shares my values and possesses a grounded and kind global view. I´ve always seen the world as a neighborhood and have done my best to distance myself from an “us vs. them” or fear of “the other” attitude because its simply not healthy or constructive.

Through various circumstances and personal adversities, I have decided to pack up and go. Here are a couple of fun facts.

I´ve no money and have been unemployed for sometime now.

I´ve no passport and have no means as to attain one.

I´ve no vehicle or transport.

I´ve no friends or family in Canada or much of any in the US for that matter.

Here´s what I do have. My essentials, education/skills, a good attitude, a willingness to learn, a determination to work, an english/french vocabulary, and love for multiculturalism. I´m interested in your thoughts however negative or supportive. I view Canadians as a strong and gracious people, and I look forward to learning from them.

Having no passport stops you in your tracks. Without a passport, you can´t immigrate to Canada. So if you´re serious about these future plans, your first steps is to get a passport.

Once you have a passport, the next steps will be to research the various Canadian immigration programs to see if you qualify to apply. You can find this information here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp

Since you have no savings, your only real option at this time is to find an employer in Canada who is willing to give you a permanent job offer. Without this, I don´t think it will be possible for you to immigrate to Canada at this time.

Your "essentials" don´t meet any criteria to immigrate to Canada.

You don´t have any skills or education that makes you eligible to apply as a Permanent Resident.
