Completing the application correctly.

  To All

Many here and CIC will tell you that you can complete the application yourself.

What they do not tell you is that if you make a mistake there are major consequences.

CIC can return the whole file to you with an explanation as to what you did wrong. In that case all you lose is processing time.

If CIC accepts the application because it is complete they may reject it later due to the mistake you made and then you lose time and money.

Now what will your partner think at their interview if they believe the two of you were introduced by someone and you think you met by pure fate?

What if your partner thinks you did cohabit when you were room mates at University but he/she has a different interpretation?

Remember it is more advantageous for a Immigration Officer to say REFUSED then to say approved. When one has too high of an acceptance rate they will be called in for questioning.

Been there, had it done.

The other half of the story is that if an officer says NO too often and all he/she does is to refuse applications, he/she will be questioned as well.

There are no guarantees that a consultant will fill the application properly. If the consultant makes a mistake that ultimately leads to a refusal, is his/her firm going to refund the fees back to the applicant?.....I don´t think so.

I thought you would have commented on CBSA making false passports to remove people but you glossed over that post.

I have always said hire a quality, experienced representative. Anyone knows in the Immigration business or any other business a satisfied customer brings you more customers and word of mouth is the best advertisement.

We don´t often make mistakes but if one is made we will fix same, including refunding. It is only good business practice.

Now I know from working in several positions as a Senior Immigration Officer the hard nose mean spirited ones were the most likely to accept a bribe.

Like I said I got accused and investigated for not opposing detainees releases 25 years ago. Escort Officer screamed at me once that they were going to take a Somali to Kenya and throw him across the border. I yelled back why they had not done that in two years at a cost of $250.00 a day detention costs. If not a danger to the public and identity not an issue how can you detain for removal if you can´t remove?

Cost to the Canadian taxpayer $250 X 730 days = $182,500.00

Quoted "I thought you would have commented on CBSA making false passports to remove people but you glossed over that post".

I can´t comment on that for two basic reasons.
1- I have nothing to do with it.
2-It is still under investigation.

Quoted "how can you detain for removal if you canīt remove"

Sometimes people don´t get detain ONLY to be removed, specially if they can´t be removed because their identity can´t be verified.

Unfortunately when a person´s ID can´t be verified, also cannot be verified that this individual is or is not a dangerous person and/or he/she will show up to be removed from Canada when the time comes. The risk is too high, thus they are held in detention.

I don´t have anything against Immigration Consultants. All I am saying is that the applications are designed to be filled in without a consultant. At the end of the day, there are people that can´t even fill a passport application never mind an immigration documents. It depends on the person I guess.

My line of work has ONLY 2 options.
* Pass
* Fail

That´s it. Very little in between.

R U denying that a false passport was created?

DocD. so there is no grey area and you have no discretion? Strange thinking. Like a Cop either you are speeding or not hmmmm.

The removing of someone on a false Passport issue is NOT under Investigation it is the wrongful termination of a CBSA member that is being challenged and should be challenged.

Mr. Williams gave me and this client a letter of apology for the actions of one of his Officers, I respect that. I have always seen him to be fair and ethical. Watch the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUHo-HXHfYw

I am not denying anything. As I said, I had nothing to do with it.

I am not commenting about that issue anymore.
