I understand that if you are successful in applying for PR. Then you need to live in Canada for 720 days out of each 3 years.
I think that this does not need to be done in one long stay.
Does anyone know if you come and go, how small stays are calculated and added up so there is a record ?

(in reply to: PR conditions) It´s 730 days. And no - they don´t need to be continuous. You are responsible for keeping track of your days to make sure you have enough. And yes - CIC does have ways of verifying that you do actually meet the residency requirement when you apply to renew your PR card.

(in reply to: PR conditions) CORRECTION
730 days out of (any) five year period.
Many people think its two years because 365 X 2 = 730 days.
There are reasons for staying abroad and ways of proving residency read the act.
