Subject: rejected study permit.. now applied PR spousal. |

Hello.
Last year I applied for a study permit at the canadian embassy in Mexico city but I got a letter saying it was refused since I didnt submit the medical examinations. (I was in canada by the time i got the letter) The reason I didnt submit them was because i found out I would not need a study permit as I was only going to participate in a student exchange program and stay in canada less than four months.
I did go as an exchange student and had no problem getting into canada. While In canada, i met a girl and not to make this a long story.. we are planning on getting married.
My question is... is there possibility that my permanent residence application be refused?, as my study permit was refused before and i assume its on the record.
I am now in Mexico.

(in reply to: rejected study permit.. now applied PR spousal.) no way mate! u can have study permit rejections or temporary permit rejections; but they wont be taken into consideration if u have a genuine relationship with ur wife! spouse case sponsorship is not affected in any way by temporary permit or study permit rejections!
