Hello my fiancé is from Nigerian and is planning on coming over to visit on a visitor visa what will he need in order to get married in Canada.

a) Get married legally

Simple solution: Kim you need to visit Nigeria on a tourist visa and marry the guy, enjoy black meat all you can, and apply to bring him back! Once he is here, do not whine and complain he abandoned you or is fulfilling many other white women´s desires etc... Just serve him and service him

Your fiance can apply for a tourist visa. However, chances of him getting a visa are very slim.
If you are sure that he is the right one for you, the best option would be for you to visit him in Nigeria and get married. After your wedding you can submit a sponsorship application.
I would suggest to consult cic website or an immigration consultant before your travel to understand what kind of documents your sponsorship application are needed. Also applications processed in African countries may take a longer time.
