| Subject: Want to Migrate to Canada but have no clue how |

Please I really do need someone to assist me with some valuable information. I am a married woman with kids and we are from Africa. We have never visited Canada before neither do we have relatives there. We have always desired living in Canada and no where else. My husband and I are UN expatriates and we are now thinking of moving from Africa for good and settling in Canada with the children. We have heard that we have to get a close relative leaving in canada or go through the skills worker program to live in canada. WE just do not know where to start with the preparations and would appreciate some insight into this.

You do not need a relative to immigrate to Canada. That said, Canada has become very picky about who to accept as immigrants, although it has made it easier for people already present in Canada (student/work permit status) to gain permanent residence. Good luck!
